Ride Ratings 

Beginner: rolling short climbs, frequent regroups, fire roads
Intermediate: few rolling hills, longer climbs, some steep hills, regroups, singletrack, fire roads
Advanced: steep hills, very long climbs, few regroups, technical singletrack, fire road.

TIME CHANGE! Start Time: Most, but not all, rides will meet at the trailhead at 8:15 AM. Check each ride for proper meeting time.

Spring Weather: Rain and snow are still possible. Rides are cancelled if it is raining. Rain in the week before a ride may also cause a cancellation due to muddy riding conditions

PLEASE NOTE: A "USFS Adventure Pass" is required to park in the Cleveland National Forest. This would apply to: Pioneer Mail, Penny Pines and the Meadows Trailheads, Noble Canyon Trailhead in Pine Valley, Black Mountain and Mesa Grande Rides, and the Corral Canyon OHV Area Lake Morena ride.

SATURDAY RIDES

May 3, NO RIDE SCHEDULED

MAY 10, 8:15 AM, LAGUNA RAMBLE AND PICNIC
Rating: Beginner/Intermediate, 20 miles, single track
Trailhead: Meadows Information Center Trailhead on Sunrise Highway, Adventure Pass
We start out on the old highway and make our way over to the Big Laguna Trail, turning around at sunrise highway for the trip back.
Bring a picnic lunch to eat after the ride.

MAY 17, 8:15 AM, LAKE MORENA CORAL CANYON
Rating: Intermediate/Advanced, 20 miles
Trailhead: Coral Canyon Parking area where the Kernan Cycle Trail intersects the access road. Adventure Pass required.
This ride has lots of technical single track. It also has several long hard climbs.

MAY 24, 8:15 AM, EAST MESA – LAGUNA LOOP
Rating: Intermediate/Advanced, 30 miles, long climbs, single track, some highway
Trailhead: Sweetwater Bridge parking lot, Rancho Cuyamaca State Park
This will be a long loop up East Mesa and over Pine Mountain to loop back via Pioneer Mail and the new trails east of Soapstone. Those looking for a shorter ride can ride out and back to East Mesa.

MAY 31, 8:15 AM, INDIAN CREEK/BIG LAGUNA
8:15 AM @ Pioneer Mail Picnic Area (Adventure Pass)
Rating: Intermediate, 25 miles, hilly rocky single track
9:45 AM @ Penny Pines Trailhead (Adventure Pass)
Rating: Beginner, 16 miles, rolling single track
The Pioneer Mail ride follows single track up to Champagne Pass before continuing on to the Penny Pines Trailhead where we meet the riders starting at Penny Pines. We then ride the Big Laguna Trail out and back

MAY 4, 8:15 AM, CUYAMACA
Rating: Intermediate, 26 miles
Trailhead: Sweetwater Bridge parking area, Rancho Cuyamaca State Park
This ride will depend on the current conditions.

MAY 11, 8:15 AM, DALEY RANCH
Rating: Intermediate, 16 miles, fire road, single track, steep climbs
Trailhead: Daley Ranch Parking Lot. Take El Norte Parkway exit off I-15 in Escondido to La Honda Drive (look for the Lake Dixon signs).

MAY 18, 8:15 AM, LAKE HODGES
Rating: Beginner 16 miles, single track, fire road
Trailhead: Coast to Crest Sunset Drive Trailhead, exit I-15 at Via Rancho Parkway, head east, turn right on Sunset Drive, go to end of cul-de-sac.
This out and back ride on the North Side Trail will depend on the current trail status.

MAY 25, 8:15 AM, NO RIDE SCHEDULED

JUNE 1, 8:15 AM, EAST SIDE, LOS PENASQUITOS PRESERVE
Rating: Beginner, 15 miles
Trailhead: Canyon Side Community Park off Black Mountain Road, park in west end near trail.
We start from the east end and ride around the preserve and up on Sorrento Mesa for fire roads and some single track.
